What do the power tools in your garage dream of?

Those with a 2-stroke gasoline motor at their heart probably dream of being a racing buggy tearing around a dirt track and flying overs jumps on their way to victory. For some lucky engines, and their human drivers, that dream comes true at the Liberty RC Wheelers track every month. The Liberty RC Wheelers is a local off-road radio controlled (RC) racing club. They have dirt tracks for both 1/10 scale and 1/5 scale racing with the big 1/5 scale gasoline powered trucks being the most popular.

At a recent event nearly 30 drivers came together to test their cars and their driving sklls on the Liberty RC Wheelers track. The club races four classes, expert and novice truck, and expert and novice buggy. Everyone is sure to have a good time. Watch the video to get a taste of what the action is like.

You can keep up to date with the club activities and learn about the next race day by checking the club website at http://libertyrcwheelers.hobzob.com/ or by checking their discussion thread at http://www.rcracing.com/msgthread.cfm?threadid=55557&InfoID=282.

You must be a member of the club to have access to the track on weekdays and non-racing weekends, but race days are open to the public.

If you are interested in off-road RC racing check out Liberty RC Wheelers.

Have fun,
Steven.
