If you enjoy motor sports you should check out The Redwood Empire RC Ground Pounders race this Sunday, May 2nd. Where else can you see F1 cars, touring sedans, short course trucks, and more all racing in the same place on the same day? Of course these are 1/10 scale vehicles running on batteries or small nitro fueled motors but they are still very fast and racing is still racing.
The Ground Pounders is a local radio controlled car club promoting radio control racing in Sonoma couunty. They maintain a family friendly atmosphere at all of their events.
The race is being held in the parking lot of Driven Raceway in Rohnert Park. The track opens at 9:30am for practice and sign-ups and you should see some exiting racing starting by 11:00am.
